If Fernando Pessoa were alive, what would he say?’ – this was the question that Teatro das Figuras posed to artist Neusa Dias for the creation of a theatrical performance. “PESSOA talvez” is the result. On stage, four figures, doubles of Fernando Pessoa’s main heteronyms and semi-heteronyms, discuss Identity, Religion, Art and Society in isolation, in a kind of puppet theatre, without conflict or a perfect plot, where the action lies in the performativity of gesture, speech, sound and light.
