CAPa’s
creation
residency
program

CAPa, Algarve Performing Arts Center, in Faro, founded in 2001, develops a set of programs to support the creation, training and dissemination of the Performing Arts, involving national and international professionals. The Creation Residency Program of this structure allows creators/companies from different artistic areas to develop their projects, taking advantage of the Center’s capabilities.

CAPa is a home for many, where people live temporarily in an artificial way, in absolute dedication to each creation that develops here. It has the particularity of offering access to all necessary facilities in the same building: from work studios to residential areas, from the Blackbox to the kitchen. These facilities make a difference, they provide a favorable environment for the creative process, which contributes, in the opinion of residents, to the development of focused and productive work throughout the period of residence. This is one of the most determining factors for the many requests we receive annually from national and international breeders.
