I like the ideas of secrecy, lies and the heart as a dual place of emotion and breath, that is, the organ that moves us is the same one that keeps us alive. Or is it the head, the space of emotion, secrecy, mystery and inspiration?
I also like the lie of the separation between head and heart and that there are works that are born from the head and others from the heart.
These ideas, which come from clichés associated with creation and artistic work, interest me as a possibility for dialogue and a basis for research into what choreographies born from the encounter between different artistic voices might be.
The materials I am interested in working with, come from this obsession with the heart, which can be either idiomatic expressions (heart in mouth, broken heart, heart in hands) as well as stories about the contexts (tragic, comical, unusual, thoughtful, threatening) in which some works were created, or simply the story behind a particular work, thus delving into the idea of creating one work to create another.
