analyses how masculinity is constructed in order to re-signify the relationships between nature, gender and sex. It focuses on figures who embody masculine myths, as well as their parodic revisions, staging a game of disidentification that resists the pressures of sexual binarism in society and art. King Size confronts the creative and dramaturgical devices of contemporary drag performances with the rigid codes of gender representation in traditional dance and theatre, and questions these representations, blurring the differences between what is natural and what is a cultural or scenic construction.
